BARWON Heads coach Dan Donati has slated a half-back role for Tony Armstrong to begin with in his BFL debut.
The Logie winner and former AFL player has gained a cult following covering sports on ABC News, and recently making a cameo appearance filling in for regular Weatherman Nate Byrne

Armstrong played in the AFL for Sydney, Adelaide and Collingwood and will make his much-anticipated first appearance for the Seagulls in Saturday’s clash with Newcomb at Grinter Reserve.
“We feel like he can play anywhere, but I think we’ll probably start him there,” Donati said.
“We’ll move him up to the wing and play him forward at times.
“At the end of the, we’ll get some run into him, some games into him, and we’ll see where he’s going to fit best towards the business end (of the season).”
Geelong Broadcasters revealed on June 13 that Armstrong had agreed to link up with former Magpies teammate Nathan Brown at Howard Harmer Oval.
He was due to play in last week’s win over Queenscliff, but work commitments kept him sidelined.
