Where are Geelong’s COVID hotspots?

Some areas of Geelong are seeing as many as one in 30 residents currently positive with COVID-19 as the country braces for the next wave.
As numbers continue to slowly rise, one Geelong postcode is seeing numbers not seen since the Delta wave in January.
The postcode of 3217, including Armstrong Creek, Mount Duneed, Charlemont and Freshwater Creek has 215 active cases, or 32.5 per 1000 residents.
One in every 66 Point Lonsdale, Queenscliff, Swan Bay, Swan Island, Point Lonsdale residents have covid at the moment, after the postcode zone of 3225 had 10 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Lethbridge (3332) is the third most COVID-infected postcode with 15 active cases in a population of 1013.
Lorne (3232), and the suburbs of Geelong West, Geelong, Manifold Heights, Herne Hill, Fyansford, Stonehaven, Murgheboluc (3218) round out the top 5.
It comes as local hospitals are imposing restrictions including visitor caps, cutting of elective surgeries and negative RAT requirements before entry.
