Double chance locked in for Barwon Heads

Barwon Heads has locked away the double-chance despite a fight from Ocean Grove in the Battle of the Bridge clash at Howard Harmer Oval.

The inaccurate Seagulls overcame a slow start against the Grubbers to kick 11 goals to six after quarter time to claim an 11.20 (86) to 9.12 (66) victory.

Shaun Lyle kicked three goals for Barwon Heads, with Kyle Polley, Charlie Brauer and Logan Mitchell the standouts.

Ocean Grove’s James Paterson took his goal tally for the season to 39 after kicking a team-high four majors.
