The number of active COVID cases continues to fall across Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast.
Also on the way down is the number of Victorians in hospital with COVID, now under 700 with just 24 of those requiring intensive care.
There are currently 2,364 active cases in Geelong, numbers which were only breifly seen a month ago before the state of the latest wave.
The numbers reflect an easing of active cases across the state, with just one Local Government Area (LGA) seeing a per-capita infection rate of one in every one hundred or less.
Wyndham is the third most infected LGA per capita with one in every 102 residents currently in isolation, Greater Geelong is one in every 109, on the Surf Coast it’s one in every 134, and Queenscliffe is one in every 139 residents.
