GUN Inverleigh midfielder Matt Tyquin is free to play in Saturday’s second semi-final clash with East Geelong after escaping with a reprimand for striking a former teammate in the qualifying final.

The Whitley Medal fancy came under scrutiny after the umpires from the weekend win over Bannockburn asked the AFL Barwon Match Review Panel to look at an incident from the third quarter.

The MRP cited Tyquin for striking Tigers midfielder Will Middleton, deeming a reprimand an appropriate sanction.

It was the only incident assessed by the MRP from the weekend’s GDFNL, BFNL and GFNL matches.
