Police appeal for witnesses to Werribee incident

Police are hoping someone has dashcam footage, or witnessed an incident in Werribee on Saturday.

Victoria Police believe the driver of a car had a verbal altercation with riders of two dirt bikes seen speeding on and around Greaves Street North around 6pm

The driver is believed to have followed a dirt bike riders after one of them allegedly broke a side-mirror off the man’s car during the altercation.

It’s during the pursuit the car struck a median strip, became airborne and collided with two other vehicles on Greaves Street North 

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the dirt bike riders allegedly left the scene of a crash

“The dirt bike riders left the scene before police arrival and are yet to be located.”

“The male driver and his male passenger have been taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”

“No one else was injured.”
