Police probe Torquay assault

Police are seeking information after an assault in Torquay overnight.

Police and paramedics were called to a licence venue on the Surf Coast Highway around 9:30pm Friday night.

A Victoria Police spokesperson says one man was taken to hospital

“Police attended a licensed premises on the Surf Coast Hwy in Torquay following reports of an assault on Friday 16 September about 9.30pm.”

“A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to what was believed to be minor injuries.”

“Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and appeal for anyone with information to come forward to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
