The City of Greater Geelong has added a host of new events and activities for adults to get into the festive spirit

We can now enjoy the Christmas in Geelong program with afternoon rounds of Golf at Balyang Par 3, sing while you swim with Carols at Kardinia Aquatic Centre and Lara Aquatic Centre, and our furry friends are even included with Santa Pet Photos

Local businesses are also getting into the swing of adding adult entertainment with the Piano Bar’s Carols by Candelabra and Chrismas Queens with fabulous queens Lynnduh and Max Drag Queen.

Mayor Trent Sullivan said Council’s Christmas in Geelong program was the largest to date, appealing to more people of all ages.

“Christmas is such a busy time as we organise gifts, wrap up work and prepare for the big day, but adults can have just as much fun as the kids this silly season,” Mayor Sullivan said.

“Whether it’s playing a sport, trying your hand at a masterclass or enjoying a Christmas-themed drink and a show with mates, there’s something to suit many interests and preferences.”

Deputy Mayor Anthony Aitken said that there were still the traditional favourites in the Christmas in Geelong program to enjoy.

“The Sound and Light Shows at our iconic Floating Christmas Tree continues to wow audiences each night at Steampacket Quay and are the perfect addition to a night out in central Geelong,” Cr Aitken said.
