Rolled ankle prompts aerial evacuation

Lorne SES and Ambulance Victoria have worked together to help rescue a lady after she broke an ankle on the ocean side of Big Hil near Lorne.

The Air Ambulance was used to winch the young lady to safety after the path was too steep to use a stretcher

Lorne SES used chainsaws and a polesaw to clear an area for the chopper to winch the young lady up.
