Truck stranded in Balliang field

A “truck and dog” crashed through fencing and ended up in a field in Balliang on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3pm when it’s believed a truck veered off Geelong – Bacchus Marsh Road near Balliang Creek between Swamp Road and School Road.
As of 6:30pm, the trailer had been winched out of the paddock but the truck remained stuck.
The truck remained bogged in the paddock around 6:00pm on Monday
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says a man, believed to be the driver, was taken to hospital
“A man in his 40s suffered a head injury and was transported to Geelong Hospital in a stable condition.”
Victoria Police remained on the scene directing traffic around a heavy haulage unit partially taking up the Geelong bound lane.
