Australia will face South Africa in the T20 World Cup final after upsetting unbeaten England in the semifinal at Cape Town on Saturday morning (AEDT)

The Proteas offered their best batting performance of the tournament setting England a target of 165 for victory.

England seemed in control, needing 33 runs from 22 balls with seven wickets in hand, but Ayabonga Khaka claimed three wickets in an over to turn the tables and South Africa never looked back.

With a vocal crowd backing them, the home side restricted England to needing 25 from 12, but the game was far from over.

England’s captain Heather Knight was on track to bring her side back from the brink smashing 12 from the penultimate over, leaving 13 needed from the final over.

But the game would lurch back in favour of the hosts, with Shabnim Ismail who earlier bowled pure fire, balls registering 128km/h and 126km/h, bowled the English Captain for 31 all but securing a finals berth.

South Africa restricting England to 8/154, winning by 6 runs.
