Loki’s Okay – police dog injured after collision

Victoria Police has confirmed K9 injured in a crash on Thursday night is back home and resting with his handler after being treated for minor injuries.

Loki the four-year-old German Sheppard was injured after a collision in Werribee.

Victoria Police said a car was observed driving erratically on Synnot Street around 9pm

“Members followed the car and observed it drive onto the wrong side of the road and collide with a passing vehicle before continuing on and heading for Derrimut Road.”

“Once on Derrimut Road the car continued to be driven erratically and was constantly on the wrong side of the road.”

“The car drove into a shopping centre carpark on Derrimut Road and collided with two parked cars before the driver attempted to drive out of the carpark and crashed into a Dog Squad vehicle.”

A 35 year old Maidstone man is in hospital under police guard after being apprehended by police.
