Marquee man locked in for another season

DeMarcus Gatlin has committed to another year with the Geelong Supercats

Originally from Houston, Gatlin first arrived in Geelong in 2016, the first of four seasons before a two year hiatus 

This season will be Gatlin’s sixth, with the guard averaging more than 12 points per game last year.

Gatlin was handy in the defensive paint grabbing nearly 8 rebounds per game playing an average of nearly 31 minutes per game.

The Supercats have an away game first up before taking on Bendigo at the Arena on April 15.

It’ll be the first season under Grant Wallace, who was the State Head Coach in Basketball Victoria, played NBL for the North Melbourne Giants, and won the 1993 National Championship playing in the SEABL for North East Melbourne.
