Police investigating Geelong gunshots

Geelong detectives are investigating after a firearm was allegedly discharged in Geelong Saturday night.

It’s understood a man was approached by a group in Swanston Street at about 8.30pm.

A Victoria Police Spokesperson says a gun was then allegedly fired.

“Police are investigating after a firearm was allegedly discharged in Geelong overnight.”

“No one was injured and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.”

Units from the State Emergency Service were requested to assist in the crime scene preservation.

The SES attended with tarps and lighting.
